Day of Fun

Gate City Bank celebrated its 90th Anniversary last weekend. All the employees and their families were invited to Fargo for an afternoon of fun. Annabelle and Cole had a great time! We arrived around 2 and Annabelle was in the bouncy houses as soon as she saw them. That child has no fear - it is a little scary for Brian and I. The first one that she climbed into was the biggest one they had. We were pretty sure she wouldn't be able to climb the big wall to the top...we were wrong. That child scaled the wall like spider man and loved every min of it. Cole had a good time in the smaller bouncy house although he was just itching to get into the big ones with Annabelle. He was playing in one and kept getting stepped on by other kids, which he didn't really seem to mind because he was being included, I felt bad for him so I took off my shoes and took him down the slide a few times. He actually enjoyed it. He is more of our cautious child and really things about things and is a little more timid that Annabelle. Annabelle just runs and has no fear while Cole likes to stick a little closer to Mom and Dad, we are not sure which way is the best way yet. We did take a break from jumping to watch a program and have supper. It was hard for the kids to pay attention and listen to what was going on when all the bouncy houses were still in sight...but overall they did a good job. Annabelle and Macey, my co-worker's little girl, jumped until we made them leave around 6. There weren't many tears but they were not very happy that we were leaving. After we checked into the hotel we headed out to a baseball game. The game went well, especially since it was close to 7:30 by the time we got there. Cole ended up falling asleep and slept for most of the time we were there. Annabelle was board and it didn't take long for her to want to leave. We did stay for a few inning and then left to take kids back to the hotel and put them to bed. The next morning when we got up we let the kids swim for a while (and by kids I mean Annabelle). We left the hotel around 11 and both Cole and Annabelle were exhausted! We went out for breakfast/lunch and it didn't take long for them to fall asleep on the way home. It was a fun weekend!
