Right Tracks

We had a right track screening for Cole and Annabelle yesterday. Everything went well for both of them. This is the 4th person we have had come out to screen and I hope she sticks around for a while. It would be nice to have the same person so they can see improvements or tell us if there is something that is not developing as much as they would like to see between visits.
Most of the things for Cole were just questions that they ask us. He did wake up toward the end and the person was impressed with his neck strength and how well he likes tummy time. With Cole we started tummy time right away when we got home from the hospital. Annabelle did not like tummy time at all and I don't know if it had any thing to do with us not starting to put her on her tummy right away or not - regardless we decided to make more of an effort to put Cole on his tummy in hopes it would go better - so far so good.
Annabelle's screening went really well. She was very impressed with Annabelle's speech. For her age she said Annabelle speaks very clearly and has a good vocabulary. Annabelle also knows her body parts, can follow directions (when she wants to), can jump, kick and run. She told us that one thing we can probably work on at this stage is helping her become more independent with things like dressing and eating. I then informed her that Annabelle is able to completely undress and dress herself, as you all know from previous posts, and is able to feed herself with a fork and spoon. She told us to just keep doing what we are doing because she doing well for her age. It is to know that we are doing something right. Sometimes I still wonder when she learned all of these things it seemed like not that long ago she was our little baby girl who we just rocked and cuddled. It is hard to imagine that in a year Cole is going to be doing some of these things.
