In the dog house

It has been a week and thank goodness it is almost Friday and we will have a long weekend to relax. We sign the papers to officially sell our house at 9:30 Friday morning - yea! People ask us if we are sad to leave and the honest answer is not really. That house suited our needs for a while but now we are in need of something more. As we were cleaning today we were reminded ran across a few things that reminded us that moving is the best choice - and we will leave it at that.
Moving is stressful enough and this week Charlie has not been helping. It started Wed night: after work Brian, Annabelle and I hauled some things out to Cleveland. We left Charlie in the back yard because it was nice and he is a dog and can spend some time outside. We got back into Jamestown and here is Charlie running across the street back to our house and sits on the front step. For those of you thinking "wait a minute I thought they had a fenced in back yard" you would be right. Our sweet little Charlie felt the need to break through the fence. We are guessing he though we left him for good and was trying to figure out what was going one...none the less Brian was not impressed. Fixing the fence 2 days before closing at 9pm was not on the agenda. Today was strike number 2 against Charlie. We started staying in Cleveland last night so this morning I put him out on his rope to go to the bathroom. When we decided to let him back in I must not have grabbed onto his collar tight enough because away he went. I chased him for a little while until he turned to go down a dirt road. I though forget it dog if you run that far you are on your own. It is almost like he heard me because he turned around and came over by me. I told Brian that I think the next month of two might be full of adventures.
