We don't take family pictures nearly as often as we should. This one turned out great - although I wish Cole was smiling...he has such an adorable smile.

Making the Best of Things

Spring was here last week but Mother Nature has a sense of humor and we had a horrible snow storm Monday and more snow on Wednesday. The kids are so excited but I am pretty sure they are the only ones. I remember when I was younger and thought it would be cool to have snow until Easter. The nice thing about this time of year is the weather is a little warmer so we can actually go outside and enjoy the snow. The kids had a great time tonight playing in the snow and sledding down the hill. Annabelle is getting brave and will go down the hill on the sled when no one is with her or even watching. We played outside for over an hour so we are hoping to have some tired kids tonight!

Wishing for Spring

This winter has been long and cold!! The kids are ready to get back outside and it will be nice when they are able to run off some energy. We have had a few nice days that we have been able to get out and play, and a few not so nice days that we went outside anyway. It really shouldn't amaze me anymore how fast the kids are growing and learning but they stun me almost every day. Annabelle loves riding her bike around the driveway, drawing with chalk and blowing bubbles. Cole loves playing ball, popcicles and trying to do everything Annabelle is doing, usually at the same time which can drive her a little crazy. They are growing up way to fast. Today Annabelle wanted to play hopscotch. She wanted me to draw the boxes and she was going to draw the numbers. She didn't quite know how to draw them all but figured out a good solution to her problem. That child is very creative!

Way to Fast!

Annabelle is growing up way to fast! Lately she has been enjoying dressing up and playing princess. I brought my old prom dresses up from my parents house a few months ago for a different event and Annabelle found them in the closet and came up with a great idea that Mommy can play princess too.

She has also been asking a lot of questions about getting married. I know there is the idea that a girl dreams about her wedding day ever since she is a little girl, but I don't remember doing that. Annabelle went as far today as to ask for a bouquet of flowers (her exact words). Little does Ms. Annabelle know but she has a good 25+ years before she needs to worry about her wedding :)

Happy Birthday Cole

Happy Birthday Coleman! It is hard to believe our baby is 2! He has turned into such a fun little guy and he makes us smile every day. He is talking non-stop and really has an interest in music. He is usually walking around singing or carrying his CD player around the house and moving to the tune of the music. I can't wait to see how he grows and changes over the next year. We are having his official party next weekend but today we did a mini celebration with cup cakes after lunch.

Birthdays

It has been a while since I have posted anything and we have celebrated a few birthdays since then. My birthday was back in November and it was a nice evening with a family dinner and ice cream cake for dessert. New Years Day Annabelle decided that it was Charlie's birthday. This didn't really come as a surprise, she had been talking about it for quite a while. When she finally said that today was the day we embraced it and figured might as well have some fun. We went to the store and bought cake mix and a present for Charlie. Annabelle and Cole had so much fun getting ready for Charlie's party. Annabelle even wanted to invite the Grandparents and others to Charlie's party.
