Nice Fall Day

This weekend has been beautiful! We spent most of the weekend outside and I think Annabelle enjoyed every minute of it. We have cleaned up some of the flower pots and we have our fall arrangement done in the front yard - I think it turned out pretty cute for not knowing what I was doing.
Not much is new with Annabelle. She does have 3 more teeth that are just poking through and she is still doing a good job handling all of it. After these teeth she will have all of them except for her 2 year molars - which at the rate she is going I am guessing they will be here in the next few months. Annabelle is enjoying spending the evenings and all day on the weekends outside enjoying the nice weather. She is learning to ride her toys and likes to walk around and explore all the new territory we have. I was telling Brian this weekend that the underground fence sure works nice for Charlie but it isn't much help with Annabelle; we have had to chase her across the church parking lot a few times. It is nice to be in a neighborhood that it is quiet and we don't have to constantly worry about a lot of cars driving around.
I also had a dr appt this week and all is well. He measured my belly this time and just like with Annabelle it is measuring about 4 weeks bigger than it should be...what do you do. Other than that there wasn't much to report.

24 Weeks

Little E has caught up with the size of an ear of corn and has gained 1/4 pound since last week. Length is almost a foot!

Staying Busy

Not much new to report at the Paulson house. Things are the same old things which sometimes is ok. We spent last weekend in Carrington and Cathy and I were able to find some good deals on fall clothes for Annabelle. The weather is cooling off faster than I expected and the poor little thing only had like 2 long sleeve shirts - but now we are good to go.
Annabelle and are are preparing for a busy month. We start baby sign language class again on Monday. It is the same class we took last spring but this time I think she will get a little more out of it. She is really picking up on the signs and it will be nice to have a refresher coarse.
We are also signed up to start swimming lessons in October. I say we because it involved mom/dad have to be there in the water with the kids. We will have lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the month of October. She has always loved the water and this summer she really enjoyed the pool, sticking her face in the water and learning how to kick her legs. She still flops onto her belly in the tub and kicks her legs and splashes with her arms. She is even getting better and not sucking water in when she sticks her face in the water. It will be fun to see what she learns during her lessons.

Getting Bigger Every Day

Some days I just look at Annabelle and wonder where the past 13 months have gone. She is turning into such a little girl I can hardly believe it! This morning when she was sitting in her highchair I just looked at her and I swear she grew over night.
It has actually been a busy week at the Paulson house. This weekend was beautiful and probably one of the last warm weekends we are going to have this year. Annabelle, Charlie and I spent quite a bit outside playing and going for walks. We were able to break out her little pool one last time and she had a blast. She played, laughed and squealed for over an hour. She was actually so loud that Brian heard her in the house with all the windows closed and had to come out and see what all the fuss was about.
Little E is growing bigger every week as well. I am at the fun stage where I am still comfortable but I can really feel the baby move and this baby loves to move. The movements are getting stronger and Brian can easily feel the little kicks. It is making me a little nervous about the personality this baby is going to have. I don't remember Annabelle moving all the time like this. When she would move I would get Brian to touch where she moved and then she wouldn't do it again - this one will move for quite awhile before s/he decides that it is time to rest. There are a few nights when I am up with Annabelle in the middle of the night and I can feel the little one going strong; which Annabelle could have done also but I just wasn't awake to feel her.
Charlie has had an eventful week as well. He is learning quick how the underground fence works and spent the weekend outside with us roaming free. He also goes out while we are home for shorts periods and knows where he can and can't go. We did have a bit of a scare this week though. Sunday afternoon he started acting a little off; that is the best way to explain it. He would just stand in the corner, didn't want to sleep in his bed at night and wouldn't even sit by Annabelle's chair when she ate. By Monday afternoon he was walking funny, didn't want to eat and just wanted to keep to himself. Brian suggested we call the vet and take him in - I was pretty sure it was going to be bad news and was trying to prepare myself. The vet thought that he had a disk in his back out of place and was in pain so that is why he was acting so off. She put him on some meds and gave him the first dose. By the time I got home from work (about 2 hours after we got back from the vet) he had perked right up and today he is back to his old self.

Happy Labor Day

It has been a busy weekend! My family came up for the weekend to see the new house and Annabelle (propbably not in that order). It was nice to see them again.
Annabelle had a busy weekend as well. She had her bangs trimmed for the first time and looking back I wish we would have video taped it. We sat her on the counter and gave her a little toy to keep her still. It actually went pretty well; when we were done we had all of her little hairs in a pile to tape them to her baby book. We set her back on the floor so she could go play. She looked up at us when her big baby blues, touched her bangs and started to cry. She stood there for a minute and just touched the part of her hair that we cut and cried. It was pretty comical. I don't think we will be cutting her hair anytime soon; apparently she likes her long hair.
Annabelle is really watching what others are doing and trying to be like them. Brian and I will sometimes sit in the living room and relax while we eat supper as oppose to sitting at the table, which after tonight might have to change. Annabelle had already eaten but she wanted a plate when we started dishing up. We gave her a plate and a cracker to put on her plate. When we looked up she was sitting on the floor in the living room with the cracker on her plate watching TV. We proceeded to sit in our chairs in the living room and pretty soon Annabelle was trying to get into her chair. With a little help she sat in her chair, ate crackers and either watched TV or watched Charlie to make sure he didn't steal her food. We can't believe how fast she is growing up!
