7 Months

So peaceful, how can you not love her!
Annabelle is 7 months old today!! We can hardly believe it the time has gone by so fast. It seems like she is changing all the time. Her three teeth are still coming in and today she has been a little cranky but most people say we have that coming - overall she is doing well. She has a weigh in on Tuesday and we are crossing our fingers that she has gained enough weight to make the dr happy, but if not she is still eating and happy and he may have to accept the fact that she might be just little.

Tooth 3,4 & 5

We may now know what caused some of the problems at the end of last week. Annabelle has cut her third tooth and there are two more about ready to pop through! I think the other major part of her problem is solved; we won't get into that much we will just say thanks to Auntie Tiff and all the prunes and prune juice that she has the last 2 days finally kicked in.

The tooth that came through really surprised us, we assumed that it would be one of the top two....wrong...it is her right incisor - odd. That poked through last night and you can see the left incisor and right front tooth getting ready to make an appearance. I don't think the other front tooth is far behind. It is amazing how fast all of this happens. Brian and I also can't believe how well she is handling all of this - we are very lucky! Last Friday I was talking to a co worker (who has grown twin boys) and telling her about Annabelle's tough few nights. Her response to me was that it is about time that Annabelle stays up half the night and gives us some problems because she is just to well behaved. She is now back to her happy self! We are very lucky to have such a happy and healthy child!

3am A smile and A Wave

Annabelle had a tough night last night probably one of the longest we have had since the first night she came home. It started off with her running a fever last evening and she wasn't full of her normal smiles. She cuddled and fell asleep in Brian's arms and when it started getting late (late is 9/9:30 at our house) I woke her up to nurse her and then put her to bed. She didn't eat much and was soon fast asleep again. I rocked her for a little while and then put her down in her crib and off to bed I went. She slept until 11:45 and then woke up. We rocked and she would shut her eyes and every time I put her down her little eyes would pop open and we would start the routine over. I tried putting her down a few times and it wasn't working. I would have let her cry it out but she was running a fever of 101 and she looked like she felt terrible. We went round and round until 3:00am when I finally decided to try putting her in her bouncy chair, which sometimes works better than her crib. I rocked her until I was almost positive she was sound asleep and placed her in her bouncy chair in our room. She went down and her eyes stayed shut - success! As I was standing back up to crawl back into bed her little eyes opened, she spit out her nuk, gave me a big smile and waved - little stinker. By this time I was so tired and not in the mood to be waved at but she is so darn cute I had to smile. I picked her up, gave her a hug, told her not to wave at mommy at 3am and we ended up rocking her in room for another 20 minutes and she then slept in her crib until 8 this morning. She still not quite herself but her fever is going down. Hopefully she will be better in the next day or so.

Daddy's Little Helper

When Annabelle came home one of the guys from the fire hall came to visit and brought a little fireman's outfit. The gift was extremely appropriate considering how much time Brian spends at the fire hall. We dug it out of the closet today before it becomes to small for her and took a trip to the fire hall. These two are just so darn cute!

Kisses

Annabelle has started something new that Brian and I just LOVE! She has started giving kisses - it is the best thing ever. She will turn her head, open her mouth, usually stick out her tongue a little bit and slobber all over your cheek or neck. She will then smile or laugh, wait for you to kiss her back and then she does it again. We can't believe how much we love her!

Little Peanut

Annabelle had her 6 month check up on Monday, third week in a row we went to the doctor. The good news from her appointment is she is a healthy, happy child. There is one concern that doctor has and that is her weight. She only weighs 12 pounds 4 ounces, we even left the barrette in her hair to add a little extra weight, it didn't help she still is to light. I told both the nurse and doctor that I feed her and she seems happy. He is worried that Annabelle isn't getting enough to eat so after I nurse her she is suppose to drink 2-4 ounces of a bottle and at each bottle feeding we have increased her intake. She is also eating every 4-5 hours instead of every 3 hours, that is what the dr told us to do. Today is day 2 of her new routine and it is going ok. In the morning she will drink the extra bottle that I give her - although it takes her quite a while because she is more interested in playing with it than drinking it. After her late morning feeding she I can only get her to drink about an ounce. In the afternoon daycare has managed to get the full 8 ounces down but they said it has taken some work. This leads me to believe she isn't starving but I agree with the doctor that she needs to put on some weight so we will stick to the plan and hope she plumps up a bit. We go back at the end of the month for a weigh in. Maybe she will just be little.
