We had our first actual doctor's appointment today. Everything looks good and baby is right on track. We also had another ultrasound just to make sure. Baby is now 9 weeks and 3 days. The little heart is still going strong and it is starting to move around - very cool. Our official due date is July 30 (this time I was listening). I would post a picture but with the machine they used it is hard to see much - we should have another scan in a few weeks and hopefully then we will have a nice view of baby to see.
We are going to start telling our friends that do not already know. We figured that we would let the relatives know first and then maybe wait until we were around 12 weeks to make our big announcement to the world... well turns out people are already learning of our news so we may as well let everyone in on the secret. It is amazing how news travels from Welch MN to Jamestown in less than 2 days - but that is ok...we really appreciate all the love and support that we people are showing us.

9 Weeks
Baby has grown to the size of a grape, weighs a fraction of an ounce, and is almost 1 inch long.
Here We Are
After we shared our wonderful news with everyone during Christmas many loved ones wanted to know how we can stay in touch now that our family is growing so the thinking caps went on. Facebook was out of the questions due to that fact that something must be wrong with the computer because it doesn't seem to work (or Brian decided I need to be doing other things and rigged it so it didn't work) who knows. Anyway a girlfriend of mine made a comment that we could do a blog - which at the moment seems like the best way for those who would like to know what is going on to keep updated. So we are going to give this a try and see how it works.
